Joan Almedilla, hails from Broadway musical theater, she
performed the leading role of Kim in the Broadway production
of MISS SAIGON.

She broke color barriers by being the first Filipino to play the
role of Fantine on the National Broadway Tours of LES
MISERABLES. She was also on the Broadway National Tour
in McCoy/Rigby's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.  She is a
regular performer at the Rubicon Theatre Company having
the privilege to perform John Bucchino's ITíS ONLY LIFE
(Ovation Award) directed by Daisy Prince, Jason Robert
Brown's SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD (Ovation Nomination)
directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera.  Joan co-wrote and
performed in East West Player's ROAD TO SAIGON, an
autobiographical story following three actresses who
performed in the hit Broadway show MISS SAIGON.  Also at
East West Players she played the role of Jean Lee in KRUNK
FU BATTLE BATTLE directed by Tim Dang. Almedilla had
the opportunity to perform a song cycle as Imelda Marcos, to
a sold out audience, at New York's Carnegie Hall, with 80s
music legend David Byrne (TALKING HEADS) and DJ
Fatboy Slim's HERE LIES LOVE.  She is a proud member of
Actor's Equity Association & SAG/AFTRA.
