Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from Japanese
grandparents, Camila Ohara Tanabe always lived in a diverse
environment. In 2003, she graduated from the University of Sao
Paulo with a degree in Communication. After graduating, she
worked in multiple independent production companies in Sao
Paulo.

In 2007, Camila moved to Los Angeles to attend USCís School
of Cinematic Arts Film Production Program, where she was
awarded with the Annenberg Graduate Fellowship and the
Harold Lloyd Memorial Scholarship, and later invited to join Phi
Kappa Phi, an honor society for students with outstanding
scores. While at USC, Camila began her work in Production
Design, a passion she nurtured since her childhood in Brazil.
